           Name of the Implementer: The Central Disaster Management Committee through The

            Hunger Project.

            Project Duration:  February -2008 to July, 2008

Purpose of the Project : The school structures, which were severely damaged by the SIDR. The Central Disaster Management Committee has initiated a rehabilitation program to promote the educational facilities in those areas.

Implementation Methodology, Management and Quality Control :

The two representatives Mr. Masudur Rahman Ranju and  Mr. Syed Mujtaba Ali Badsha on behalf of the Central  Management Committee have sat down with the Headmasters and two schools management committee. They discuss about the rebuilt issue and financial support. Through discussion they have formed implementation’s committee for each school. These implementation committee are consisting of five members. The

Headmaster is the member secretary of the committee. These committee are responsible for monitoring of the over all activities and procurement.

By this time The Hunger Project Bangladesh on behalf of the Central Management Committee handover the Tk. 300,000 (Tk. 1,50.000 for each school) to the Headmasters. They have started their construction work. About 80% work is complete. All construction work will be completed by June. The standard procurement procedures have been strictly followed as per procurement policy of the Hunger Project.

Conclusion : The total number of students of  Razapur Girls High School are 256 and

R. K. D.S Pilot Girls High School are 350. After cyclone they mobilized the students and till now 60 percent students are attending at the school on the regular basis.

The final report (program and financial) will be sent after completion of work.
